Emmaus ("the App," "we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application.

1. Information We Collect

Account Information: If you sign in with Apple, we receive your Apple ID identifier and, optionally, your name and email address (you may choose to hide your email).

Usage Data: We collect information about how you use the App, including conversations, saved prayers, saved verses, and interaction patterns. This data is used to provide and improve the service.

Device Information: We may collect basic device information such as device type, operating system version, and app version for troubleshooting and analytics purposes.

Voice Data: When you use voice input, your audio is processed to convert speech to text. We do not store raw audio recordings.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide, maintain, and improve the App's features and functionality
• Personalize your experience and deliver relevant Scripture-based content
• Sync your saved content across devices
• Process subscription payments (through Apple)
• Send push notifications (if you opt in)
• Respond to support requests

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with advertisers or data brokers.

3. Third-Party Services

The App uses the following third-party services:

• Supabase: Provides backend database and authentication services. Your data is stored on Supabase's secure servers.
• Anthropic (Claude AI): Powers the AI conversation features. Conversation content is sent to Anthropic's API for processing. Anthropic does not use your data to train their models.
• RevenueCat: Manages subscription status. RevenueCat receives your anonymous app user ID and purchase data from Apple.
• Apple: Sign in with Apple handles authentication. Apple processes all subscription payments.

4. Data Retention

Your account data and saved content are retained as long as your account is active. Free-tier saved moments expire after 7 days. If you delete your account, we will delete your associated data from our servers within 30 days.

5. Data Security

We take reasonable measures to protect your information, including encrypted data transmission (HTTPS/TLS) and secure database access controls. However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

6. Children's Privacy

The App is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that we have collected data from a child under 13, we will delete it promptly.

7. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your data
• Opt out of push notifications at any time through your device settings
